Untuk OS Windows lama masih tersedia versi VLC Player untuk Windows 98 sampai ME dan versi lain.


Tapi teknologi di software semakin baik, seperti IPTV player sudah ada.
Sekarang kita bisa nonton TV dari software VLC Player langsung di computer / notebook.
Cukup memasukan daftar IP TV ke player VLC.

Di era DVD dan berpindah ke MP4 masih mengunakan video codec H.264
