Windows XP update SP 3.1a masih jalan di i486 kalau punya procesor lawas

Windows 11 berusaha di blokir oleh Microsoft bila procesor tidak mendukung SSD4.2 dan Popcnt.

Tapi ada cerita lain dengan Windows XP, modder dari Jerman membuka fitur agar Windows XP bekerja di procesor sangat lawas model i486.
Procesor Intel dan pertama yang memiliki 1,2 juta transitor dirilis 1989.

File ISO Windows XP yang dimodifikasi sudah disimpan di Archive.org, walau keterangan berisi bahasa Jerman.
Ketika anda menginstall, jangan lupa mengcopy ntoskrnl.exe dan ntkrnlmp.exe ke folder c:\windows\system32.
Bila tidak di copy, Windows tidak dapat boot.
File Windows XP ini hanya 600MB.

Siapa tahu masih ada yang menyimpan computer lawas, mau dihidupkan kembali dengan Windows XP.

Windows XP sudah berakhir dukungan dari Microsoft. Dan tidak mendapatkan update resmi untuk ke depan.

Sejak tahun 2016, ada yang mengumpulkan patch Windows XP dengan nama Windows XP SP4 Final terakhir versei 3.1a.

Tahun 2023, Windows 95, NT 4.0, 98, Me, 2000 dan XP sulit ditemukan lagi.

Proyek bebas dari Windows Update Restored kembali memulihkan data dengan disain Microsoft Update Restored - WUR.

Microsoft menghentikan update untuk Windows 95 sejak 2001.
Windows 98 dan ME menyusul 5 tahun kemudian.
Terakhir Windows XP masih di dukung oleh tim WUR

Jika ada yang memiliki OS Windows lama, masih dapat mengupdate data yang disimpan

Kesulitan di OS Windows lama, pada driver yang tidak dimasukan ke sistem OS. Berbeda dengan Windows 10 dan Windows 11, driver perangkat hardware dibawa dalam sistem installer.
Jadi OS Windows lama harus dilengkapi driver hardware terpisah.

So, with this project, we can now update operating systems as old as Windows 95 all the way through Windows XP RTM like we used to back in the day.

The Windows Update Website provides users with security updates, optional updates, driver updates, and other types of software for the operating system. Tidak masalah apakah Windows Update sudah dilakukan sebelumnya.
Patch Windows XP SP4 Unofficial 3.1a ini berisikan update yang belum mendapat Patch.

Windows XP SP4 Unofficial 3.1a update Windows XP x86 untuk versi English saja. Minimum sudah di patch dengan SP1.

Patch ini tidak direkomentasikan untuk pemakai biasa.
Tapi penguna harus mengerti apa resiko yang mereka dapatkan, untuk mengunakan patch tidak resmi ini.
File tidak tersedia lagi dari Microsoft, setelah Microsoft menghentikan OS Windows XP.

* Live installation: Fixed problematic inf files when installed on top of N, KN SP3 builds of Windows XP.
* Fixed the “Show desktop” icon not showing up glitch. (It was not fixed by the method mentioned by Kurt_aust, but I found another way)
* Proper integration of the latest time zone update
* Some system files checked by WGA-related tools like Productkey update tool are now digitally signed by ‘Windows Component Publisher’
* 4GB patches PE checksum have been fixed. New OC-PATCHES files for v3.1
* Some other minor fixes.

Permainan online yang bertahan dengan pemain aktif, dominasi game lawas masih menjadi favorit. Khusus game First Person Shooter adalah game lama 10 tahun lalu, dengan grafik lebih ringan. Banyak server di dominasi di Eropa, China dan Amerika, hanya beberapa server game online saja ada di Asia Pasifik

Tapi di era 80an, disana storage disket digunakan. Produk terakhir Floppy disk dibuat Sony tahun 2011. Sekarang persediaan yang mungkin berakhir habis sampai tahun 2026. Floppy Disk digunakan untuk pesawat model lama, mesin jahit, otentifikasi dokumen, mesin computer

Sekarang nomor seri tersebut dapat dibuka, dan dapat digunakan di Windows XP bila anda tertarik menginstall. Windows XP populer di tahun 2000, dan penguna harus memiliki nomor seri untuk install. Microsoft tidak lagi menerima registrasi di server Windows XP. Tapi ada program yang dapat membuka.

Lebih dari satu dekade berlalu, Winamp ditutup oleh pemilik terakhir AOL. Update Winamp Android untuk player smartphone. Winamp 5.9.1 Desember 2022, kompatibel dengan Windows 11, minimum OS Windows 7  dengan perbaikan RAM dan lebih optimal

Nvidia akan merilis ulang game lawas yang pernah tren atau masuk papan atas. Kali ini bukan game lama dirilis ulang, tapi ditambahkan dengan Ray Tracing agar permainan lebih nyata. Salah satu nama yang disebut Quake akan dimasukan sebagai Quake II RTX. Tidak hanya Nvidia, kabarnya AMD telah menyiapkan teknologi Ray Tracing. Melalui DX12 Windows bahkan tidak memerlukan hardware khusus.

Di setiap model procesor, biasanya ada yang memiliki kelebihan bagi antusias computer. Khususnya procesor yang dapat di overclock dengan harga lebih murah. Tetapi menandingi kemampuan procesor lebih tinggi. Satu lagi tombol turbo sempat ada di computer desktop tapi menghilang karena sudah tidak dibutuhkan.

Berapa lama anda menganti computer baru. 3 tahun, 5 tahun atau 10 tahun. Yang ini lebih dari 15 atau 25 tahun dan ada yang masih berjalan sampai hari ini. Satu computer Stratus Server masih jalan, walau pabriknya sudah tamat

Seperti apa VGA akselerasi di era 90an. Saat ini gamer harus menentukan harga dan performa VGA. Tapi dahulu untuk memilih VGA tidak banyak pilihan. Nama Nvidia dan ATI / AMD belum terdengar. Tapi semuanya menghilang dan tersisa 2 produsen VGA performa
